The Sliding Window Buffer Block is a compact aluminum window accessory designed to improve the performance of compatible sliding sash systems. It helps reduce the open gap between sliding window components and provides additional buffering against wind, vibration and operating noise.
In aluminum sliding windows, the sash must move freely along its track. Because of this, the system naturally contains small clearances between the moving and fixed profiles. When wind passes through these areas, the sash can move slightly, creating vibration or rattling. The buffer block provides additional contact and helps reduce this unwanted movement.
