This Aluminum Sliding Sash Retainer is designed for compatible sliding window frame systems and provides an additional mechanical restriction for the moving sash. It helps limit excessive upward movement while maintaining a compact profile-mounted hardware configuration.
The black component features a raised center section and extended side structures, providing a defined contact surface and helping locate the retainer relative to the aluminum extrusion profile.
Suitable for compatible aluminum sliding windows, horizontal sliding window systems, balcony windows, and other profile-based window assemblies. Also ideal for replacement applications where the original sash retainer has been damaged or removed.
The retainer works together with complete window hardware systems including rollers, guides, tracks, locks, and sash components, providing additional mechanical control rather than functioning as the primary lock.
